My biggest fear regarding surfing internet is health of my computer, which could be translated into infection of computer by viruses. As you all know these viruses are not living organism that affects human being, but they are computer programs or codes that affect some or other functionality of computer. I like to write about medical device technologies and thought that this news about computer’s health might be of interest of my readers.
McAfee has been releasing annual list of “most dangerous celebrities to search for” on internet for past four years. This year, Cameron Diaz topped the list. McAfee revealed that if you are searching for the “latest Cameron Diaz pictures and downloads yields a 10 percent chance of landing on a website that’s tested positive for online threats, such as spyware, adware, spam, phishing, viruses and other malware.”
This is a bad news for Diaz lovers, but might be not so bad for Diaz as hacker would like to infect computers by using most popular celebrities. Other top search risks...
are Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Gisele Bundchen, Brad Pitt, Adriana Lima, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Heidi Klum, Penelope Cruz and Anna Paquin.
I think my concern also comes for the users of smart phones, who surf internet through the phone are at a risk of virus attack if you search for celebrities and download their picture, etc. I would suggest the medical professionals, who rely to their iPhones for various medical applications to avoid using their smart phones for such searches.
