Nestle recalls Lean Cuisine frozen meal tainted with plastic pieces


LEAN CUISINE lovers who have the frozen packets in their freezer and have not consumed them yet must know that Nestlé Prepared Foods has voluntary recalled its frozen “Lean Cuisine Simple Favorites Spaghetti with Meatballs” products. The recall has been made after receiving the several complaints from Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin that meatball portion of the dish contains pieces of red plastic. 

The company has recalled more than 10,000 pounds of its frozen spaghetti and meatball entrees having UPC code 13800-10390 and the production code 0298595519 P on the box. The voluntary recall is limited to just one hour of production.  No other production dates, sizes or varieties of Lean Cuisine products are affected by this recall.

the health risk is low. For more information, contact Nestlé Consumer Services at (866) 606-8264 or Nestlé will provide a replacement coupon to reporting consumers and also may make arrangements to retrieve the product for further examination.
